A member of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), Bob Juckniess is an award-winning executive leader and CEO of Royal Buying Group. One aspect of NACS that members like Bob Juckniess support is the association’s scholarship and internship program, organized by the NACS Foundation.
To support and recognize dedicated convenient store employees who could one day hold leadership positions, the NACS scholarship program was created in 1991 in honor of Jim Yates and David Erickson. Many leaders in the convenience story industry started at the store level, working their way to the top with a commitment to learning. This scholarship honors individuals who maintain a similar mindset and attitude. The NACS internship program recognizes and develops future retail leaders in honor of Teri Richman, a NACS staffer and lobbyist who dedicated more than 20 years to industry initiatives.
The scholarship and internship programs through NACS provide ways for convenience and fuel retailers to develop, reward, and retain those who make up the next generation of industry leaders within their companies.
