Robert “Bob” Juckniess brings more than 25 years of executive business experience to his role as the chief executive officer for the Migizi Economic Development Company, based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where he provides strategic direction and vision for the organization. Bob Juckniess received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and remains an avid fan of Notre Dame athletics.

Home to the fighting Irish, Notre Dame can claim a total of 238 athletes who were selected as Academic All-Americans (the second highest in the country). Administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the Academic All-Americans awards program honors intercollegiate athletes for outstanding academic and athletic performance. Notre Dame has seen more honorees in baseball and women’s soccer than any other school and consistently places within the top 10 in a variety of other sports.

CoSIDA members select Academic All-America student-athletes in 12 separate sports. To be considered, the athlete must play on a varsity team, hold a minimum grade point average of 3.30 (cumulative), be in good academic standing, and be nominated by a CoSIDA member. CoSIDA has chosen over 14,000 elite student-athletes for Academic All-America honors since 1952.
